CAN’T MAKE IT to next week’s Waterloo bicentennial reenactment in Belgium? Well, indie developers Matrix Games and The Slitherine Group have you covered.

The two publishers of the recently released PC title Scourge of War: Waterloo will be running a real-time, virtual reenactment of the famous Napoleonic clash to coincide with the battle’s 200th anniversary. The eight-hour simulation will be covered live on TwitchStream. MHN will host the feed.

Kicking off at 11:30 a.m. Central European Time (5:30 a.m. EDT), the minute-by-minute marathon will use the game’s expansive battle maps, detailed unit formations and immersive graphics to take viewers through the highlights of the historic engagement as they really happened. From the opening French assault on Wellington’s right at Hougomont, through the battle of Mt. St. Jean and the arrival of the Prussians to the final charge of the Imperial Guard, the Scourge of War: Waterloo reenactment will cover it all.
